MedTech members are at the forefront of efforts to combat the COVID-19 global pandemic. Some notable examples:

  •  Regeneron recently announced advances in its COVID-19 antibody program and plans to initiate large scale manufacturing by mid-April with an antibody cocktail therapy.
  •  HillRom has more than doubled its production of critical care products, including ventilators, hospital beds and vitals monitoring devices.
  •  Johnson & Johnson has initiated efforts to develop a vaccine and collaborate with others to screen a library of antiviral therapies.
  •  Thermo Fisher Scientific has been issued an FDA emergency use authorization for its diagnostic test to detect COVID-19.

Meanwhile, MedTech member companies and universities – large and small – are devoting unprecedented resources to the fight the pandemic.  We’re proud of our members and stand ready to support them in any way we can.

At MedTech, we’re working around the clock to connect our members to the resources, supplies and equipment they need to operate during this crisis. We’re working to create a platform to facilitate connections between those in need and those with available resources.  I invite – indeed, encourage – you to reach out to me with your ideas on how we can do this best.

At no time has MedTech’s mission to connect the bio/med industry been more important.  We exist to deliver value to our members and serve those who are on the front lines of healthcare advances.  We rely on our members to make that possible.  Please take a moment to join or renew your membership today.  Renewing members can lock in last year’s rate through 2021.  New members who join today will receive 3 free months on their membership year.  Don’t wait.  We need your support to continue the work we do.

As always, don’t hesitate to contact us with your specific questions and concerns. Regular updates can be found at our website, which is refreshed daily.
