MedTech members from across the state participated yesterday on MedTech’s “Essential Business” call. We were joined by Kate Herlihy, a partner at Whiteman, Osterman & Hanna, MedTech’s government affairs liaison. Kate provided an update on Governor Cuomo’s "New York State on PAUSE" executive order (Order 202.8), helped folks navigate the process of determining what constitutes an “essential” business or activity, and provided her insights into the direction state policy makers are headed. The call also provided our members with a chance to share with one another their experiences and best practices. We’ll be holding these member calls regularly and I encourage you to join us.
We at MedTech are working around the clock to connect our members to the resources, supplies and equipment they need to operate during this crisis. At the same time, I’ve been gratified by the outpouring of generosity and offers of help from our members. We’re working to create a platform to facilitate connections between those in need and those with available resources. I invite – indeed, encourage – you to reach out to me with your ideas on how we can do this best.
At no time has MedTech’s mission to connect the bio/med industry been more important. We exist to deliver value to our members and serve those who are on the front lines of healthcare advances. We rely on our members to make that possible. Please take a moment to join or renew your membership today. Renewing members can lock in last year’s rate through 2021. New members who join today will receive 3 free months on their membership year. Don’t wait. We need your support to continue the work we do.
As always, don’t hesitate to contact us with your specific questions and concerns. Regular updates can be found at our website, which is refreshed daily.
