How RIT combines life sciences and entrepreneurial principles to create value in an immerging industry.

From chemists and clinical specialists to bioinformatics and biomedical engineering professionals, students enrolled in RIT's Executive MBA with Life Sciences electives get to connect their professional interests and entrepreneurial principles from start to finish.

From the beginning when Dr. Richard DeMartino, Director of the Albert J. Simone Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at RIT, brings his extensive expertise and network to students, featuring innovators in the Life Sciences space, fostering discussion and sharing ways to supporting product development efforts in a unique industry. In the middle when students travel to New York City to engage with leaders of Life Science companies.  To the end when they have the option to sponsor their own capstone start-up with support from the RIT Simone Center or RIT Venture Creations business incubator.

“In the RIT tradition, this will be a very applied program from start to finish, including consulting projects in which our students will work with firms in Life Science industries,” said Jeffrey W. Davis, Director of RIT’s EMBA and Executive Education programs. “This unique applied experience combined with unmatched networking opportunities will distinguish our students and continue to set Rochester apart as a hub for new venture growth.”
