The University of Rochester Medical Center has recruited a nationally prominent neurology investigator to lead the DelMonte Neuromedicine Institute’s research department.
John Foxe will be also named the Kilian J. and Caroline F. Schmitt chair of the UR School of Medicine and Dentistry’s Department of Neurobiology, URMC officials said Tuesday.
Foxe comes to URMC from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he is currently director of research of the New York City institution’s Children's Evaluation and Rehabilitation Center.
Pending university trustees’ approval of the DelMonte Institute and Department of Neurobiology appointments, Foxe is slated to move to the URMC posts in October.
