BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Monday kicked off the return of the statewide MEDTECH Conference to Buffalo.
Over 200 executives and senior leaders from New York State’s bioscience and medical technology are in the Queen City for MEDTECH 2017.
The group will be discussing the future of the industry in New York State as well as how they can collaborate to grow and thrive.
Lt. Gov. Kathy Hochul was also on hand to highlight the state's commitment to growing the industry, including Gov. Cuomo's $600 million Life Science's initiative.
"Whether it's shown in the results of the 43North Competition or in the huge development at the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus, Buffalo and the Niagara Frontier are really the locust of a growing Bio-Med sector across Western New York," said Winthrop Thurlow, MEDTECH Association executive director.
The group will tour the Jacob's School of Medicine and Biomedical Science at the University at Buffalo on Tuesday.
