MedTech Association Hosts 2014 Good Clinical Practices Conference

Rochester, N.Y., March 5, 2014 - MedTech Association, a membership based trade association for the bioscience and medical technology (Bio/Med) industry in New York State, is proud to announce the 2014 Good Clinical Practices Conference, which will take place at the BioVentures Center in Rochester on March 27, 2014. This one-day seminar will provide an in-depth review of some of the latest FDA guidances and provide practical tips to assist participants in understanding, applying and successfully complying with GCP guidelines.
Clinical trials, and the data they generate, are a critical component in obtaining marketing approval and thus impact the ultimate success or failure of a company’s medical product. Experts from Bio/Med industry will share their knowledge and experience on a wide spectrum of topics around this problem, such as human factor testing, mobile technology in the clinical trial setting, recent warning letters and 483s, monitoring requirements for 510(k) and risk-based monitoring with GCP. This event is especially tailored for clinical research and regulatory professionals in drug and device companies, hospitals and research organizations and for students from research institutions who are conducting clinical trials or seeking IRB approval.
Online registration is required for attending the event. The cost is $160 for MedTech members and $195 for non-members. Six contact hours through ACRP are available for an extra $30 (ARCP members) or $45 (ARCP non-members) after completing the program.
