BlueCross BlueShield earns top marks in 2018 CEI

Excellus BlueCross BlueShield received a perfect score of 100 percent on the 2018 Corporate Equality Index, a national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ workplace equality administered by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation.
Excellus BCBS joins the ranks of 609 major U.S. businesses that also earned top marks this year.

We’re proud of our cultural competence training programs, and value our involvement with the greater LGBTQ community in upstate New York.“
The 2018 CEI rated 947 businesses in the report, which evaluates LGBTQ-related policies and practices including nondiscrimination workplace protections, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs and public engagement with the LGBTQ community.
