One Voice

MedTech is the voice of New York’s bio/med industry and making that voice heard in Albany and Washington is critical to our mission.  We have a vision of New York as a nationally recognized bio/med hub where companies and professionals seek to do business.  To that end, we support governmental initiatives which foster the growth of the life sciences and oppose governmental policies which impose harmful mandates and requirements on life sciences companies and which restrict access to innovative products.  New York’s bio/med industry is transforming the state’s economy and the lives of its residents. We work with our state and federal elected officials to accelerate that transformation.

At the state level, we educate lawmakers in Albany on how best to support the bio/med industry and advocate the industry’s position on key issues.  We ensure that the bio/med industry is a priority for state legislators and protect its place as a driver of the state’s economy.

At the federal level, MedTech is making New York’s voice heard amid increasing federal oversight of the bio/med industry.  By supporting policy changes that will promote industry growth and innovation in New York, MedTech protects the state’s ability to compete nationally and worldwide. 

MedTech works closely with the New York State Business Council and national organizations AdvaMed, BIO MDMA and PhRMA to advocate for shared policy objectives and to ensure that our members’ voices are heard by state and federal elected officials.
